Greetings Tiger Families!
I am proud to announce that I will serve as Principal of GEO Next Generation High School. This will be an exciting journey filled with excellence and results. My desire is to contribute to the success of our scholars by creating experiences that are challenging and aligned to our school’s mission of all roads leading to college!
My goal is to foster academic success through rigor, high expectations, and positive interactions with eager adults who share the same mission and passion for our school’s community! We anticipate many wonderful years ahead, Tiger Family. I believe in providing a secure, warm, loving, and stable atmosphere for scholars to grow into the best versions of themselves.
I believe in community, I am a native of the proud town of White Castle, Louisiana. After high school, I began my journey to further my education where I became alumni of two of Louisiana Universities. As a proud alumnus of The Southern University Jaguar Nation, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and furthered those studies by completing a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction coupled with a plus 30 in Educational Leadership. I continued with my educational career by obtaining my second master’s degree from Southeastern University in Educational Leadership.
I’ve had the opportunity of serving in a variety of roles over the years, which has enabled me to flourish as a leader in the field of education. I started my career in education in 2006 as a teacher in the local community, and in 2014, I started my journey as a school principal. These encounters had a significant influence on my beliefs and dedication to school reform. I’m committed to assisting each young person in realizing their fullest potential. I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the NGHS Tiger Nation and am eager to expand our efforts to educate our community and develop lifelong learners who are excelling and seeking further education.
Tiger Family, I am motivated to see our scholars reach their full potential, and I appreciate your warm welcome and best wishes. This will be an exciting journey for all of us, and I am committed to working with you to make our home a place where all scholars may succeed.
