
GEO Next Generation High School is proud to announce Coach Tysheka Grimes as head girls’ basketball coach. Coach Tysheka Grimes is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a graduate of Capitol High School-Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Coach Tysheka Grimes earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Mississippi State University and is also a Certified Personal Trainer.

SEC Freshman of The Week (Dec 2006), Mississippi State University Most Improved Award (2007), Best Rebounder Award (205 rebounds in 2008), Coach’s Award (09-2010), Mississippi State University Women’s Basketball Top 25 Scorers. Proud member of Mississippi State University Women’s Basketball Team NCAA 1st Sweet 16 appearance.

Coach Tysheka Grimes’ goals are to:
- Gain chemistry and trust for one another through team bonding exercises,
- Learn basketball fundamentals with confidence, strength and determination,
- Improved basketball skills that can be observed during gameplay,
- Improved leadership skills that can be observed in the classroom and at home,
- Maintain a ‘B’ average in school
- Practice good sportsmanship in wins and losses, and WIN!
